    Christian literature

Can anyone recommend any good authors of childrens books for ages 7 to 10 that are based on Christian teachings?

I assume you've heard of Patricia St John.... though her books have been around a long time, her stories such as Treasures of the Snow, and Tanglewoods Secret among others were enjoyed by my eldest two when they were that age. We used to read them to them before bed, and the discussions that ensued from a chapter often led to late bed times!! :-)

Avril Rowlands "Tales from the Ark" books can be humourous, but mustn't be taken too seriously- as far as being biblically accurate at least!- Never the less they have some good morals to the story - I think they're published by Lion.(?)

If I think of any others I'll add more another time!!

Thanks for that Paula, I hadn't heard of this author. Coincidentally I live in Switzerland so Treasures of the snow should be very relevant. I read the review on Amazon and have ordered it locally, so thanks very much Sue
