COMING UP

Motherhood - not a ride for the faint-hearted!

When you’re holding a brand new baby, motherhood promises to be a journey of adventure. It doesn’t take long for the rollercoaster ride to begin. And it all comes so fast: sleepless nights, learning to walk, playgroup, first school day, exams, work experience, first job ... Then one day you walk into an empty room and realise they’ve flown the nest.

At Motherhood -a roller coaster ride!, Dianne Parsons will outline some of the up and downs of life as a mum.

As a mother to two grown-up children, her insights will be applicable to all mums, whether they are facing toddler tantrums or troublesome teens! Covering issues like discipline, keeping a sensible work-life balance and sharing responsibility,

Dianne’s message will bring hope and encouragement to every mum in every situation, including those parenting alone and who’ve adopted.

Dianne Parsons and co-presenter Marion White have both experienced motherhood 'at the sharp end' and will share some of the many things they have learned on the roller coaster.

"Most mums find it helpful just to know that they're not the only ones with a teenager who doesn't want to talk, a strong willed toddler, or a baby who won't go to sleep. It's very important that mums know they aren't in this alone." says Dianne.

Mums parenting alone and adoptive mums will find a warm welcome the event. "We believe that every mum will be encouraged at Motherhood - a roller coaster ride! and we would love to see them there." says Dianne.
