Sex, celibacy and faith on agenda at women’s event

Coping with celibacy, the difficulty of finding a partner, waiting on God for a mate, loneliness and the positive and negative aspects of the single life are just some of the issues that will be discussed at a conference for single Christian women taking place on 19 March at the New Testament Assembly in Beechcroft Road, Tooting.

Entitled Making The Most of Your Life, this conference will give Christian women the opportunity to talk openly and honestly about some of their day to day struggles. There will be talks, a panel discussion, poetry and a keynote address.

The conference hosts, Rev Lurline Miller, of 4Women2Women and Marcia Dixon, Religious Editor of The Voice, Britain's leading black newspaper and founder of MD Public Relations, believe Making the Most of Your Life will be a groundbreaking event.

Rev Miller, who will preach the main address at this conference, commented: "As a church leader I regularly talk to Christian women, many of whom are discouraged by the struggles they encounter as single people and the difficulties they experience in finding a partner. This conference seeks to raise awareness and increase understanding of the struggles single Christian women experience. It will also provide women with strategies to help them overcome their struggles, make the most of their lives as single people and pursue their goals."
