Shine
MK - Do It Right (Alliance
Music)
This band started in Milton Keynes. Working in schools, they were
inspired by the World Wide Message Tribe, and hope to do for their
home town what the Tribe have done for
Manchester.
My favourite tracks on the album are Shine (For All The World),
and Higher Love. Shine (For All The World) is a very
uplifting song, and it's really catchy. Higher Love was originally
recorded by Steve Winwood.
Shine's version is very summery and makes you feel good. All of their
music is quite poppy and good to dance to. The tracks are mainly upbeat
tunes, although there are a few nice ballads such as More Than
Words Can Say, and Midnight Hour. Shine's sound varies
a lot - sometimes they're a bit like B*witched, and at other times
they remind me more of Atomic Kitten.
Another song worth a mention is Do You Believe In Love? It's
probably one of the catchiest on the album, and is the kind of song
that you get stuck in your head, and is still there days later.
Shine have a cool image, and I think they will do really well, as
Do It Right is a fantastic album.
