  • Helping bring marriage support firmly into the 21st century are David and Liz Percival, former chief executives of Anglican Marriage Encounter, who have launched 'one-stop shop' website www.2-in-2-1.co.uk Check it out for advice, shopping, information and discussion
  • From Dave and Liz Percival's look at the Church's response to marriage support needs (see our article on the Civitas survey in our Members Zone Resources section):

"There are numerous opportunities to work in schools, with secular groups locally, with registrars, with those in their own church. Some examples: Students Exploring Marriage is looking for couples to go into schools and be interviewed by students, Family Matters Institute and Community Family Trusts are working to bring together all interested parties in a community to support marriage and family life.

"There are resources like the Marriage Course which can be run in parish, FOCCUS and Prepare/Enrich which can be used both for engaged and married couples, nationally-based events like Engaged Encounter, Marriage Encounter, Association for Marriage Enrichment, Mission to Marriage and many more where couples can get away from the parish to strengthen their marriage."

  • If you're after topical information on marriage and relationships, check out the site for One Plus One - the "marriage and partnership research charity". They also operate a library, produce an information pack and a quarterly bulletin.
  • For a daily devotional you and your spouse can enjoy together, check out http://www.familylife.com/moments/moments.cgi

  • National Marriage Week 2003 has resources ready for churches to use - and news of projects to help churches give relationship training and support

  • If you're going through - or have gone through - the pain of divorce, you might find a visit to a Divorce Recovery Workshop helpful. More than 4,000 people have been helped through the trauma of divorce in the 10 years DRW has been going. Check it out at www.drw.org.uk

  • If you're a woman whose husband doesn't share your faith, you may well find some encouragement at www.marionstroud.com

  • Gospelcom alliance ministries present some excellent resources for your inspirational reading. RBC Ministries has articles on love and marriage, and much more. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA (IVCF) invites you to explore a relationships area with articles about intimacy, relationships and sex. • A good Catholic based site on marriage relationships - both preparation for and strengthening of - is Marriage Care. Nicely designed, it includes news, events, support, advice and counselling services.
